Empowering Portraits: The World of Patricia Leona
I love to get lost and get messy. There is something magical about the creative process—the moment where colors, shapes, and emotions collide to form a portrait of a beautiful, strong woman. For me, art is never just an object; it is an experience that should invite you to keep looking and discovering something new every single time.
A Journey of Color and Culture
My work is deeply rooted in the nine years I spent living in Nigeria, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Those years formed a kaleidoscope of inspirations that still fuel my creativity today. Now settled in the sun-drenched landscapes of Spain, I continue to translate those global experiences into a celebration of female strength and vibrant energy.
The Process: From Canvas to Digital Collage
My creative heart lies in the art of the mix. In my studio, I work on large-scale original canvases using acrylic paint, stencils, fabrics, beads, and vintage papers collected from across the globe. By blending these tactile elements with modern digital collage techniques, I am able to build intricate layers that a traditional brush alone cannot capture. Every portrait is a carefully constructed puzzle of textures and shades, where color remains the beating heart.
Limited Edition Fine Art Prints
To make my work accessible to art lovers worldwide, I offer a curated selection of my portraits as exclusive Limited Edition Prints. Quality and authenticity are paramount to my practice. Each artwork is reproduced with the highest precision on 350 gsm Museum Etching paper. This heavyweight, textured fine art paper ensures that every detail and every nuance of color is preserved, giving the print the same soulful, tactile feel as the original creation.
Originals & Future Releases
While my current focus is on these high-end limited editions, my original mixed-media paintings are the soul of my collection. These one-of-a-kind physical pieces will be made available for purchase on this website in the near future.
“Art is an experience, an invitation to see the world through a lens of strength and color.”
XOXO, Patricia Leona
